(This is just my headcanon!)

Summary:

Grovesog discovered that Families and Ballas used to be on friendly terms, but one day due to a misinformation on the accidental death of a Families member from a Ballas member. This caused a war to broke out between the two gangs.

While discussing with her dad, she told him that there was another way to end the rivalry between the two gangs, even if it's very risky for her to do.
