I think in my headcanon story of this, after Ryder wishes for everyone from other universes that were erased to be brought back to life. A strange magic surrounding around him for a few seconds before he suddenly grew purple transparent wings from his back, similar to Sunny Starscout. Through this form is only temporary.

If this series set in the MLP realm, Ryder would ended up grew Alicorn wings instead. XD
