Strange Visitor (Origin Story Part 2)

Ryder found himself arrived at an abandoned village when the strange pony followed him there, he was greeted with a mare with rainbow mane and a robot wing and another pony who had the same outfit as the other pony who followed him here.

"Commander Rainbow Dash, I found this pony at the beach." Pinkamena said.

"Very well, he would be perfect for the battle." Rainbow Dash said.

"Hey! What the hell?! I wasn't set up to do this!" Ryder said.

"Sorry, but the princess told us to recruit ponies if we found them." Maud said.

"Not today!" Ryder said, as he ran off from the three ponies.

He noticed a big looking tree that contained as a house and quickly ran inside before locking the door.

Why did they want him? Is something happen that cause them to decide to use him as a weapon?
